Wilson was called a “hummingbird” by Randy Travis' wife, Mary Davis, onstage. After performing at Billy Bob's Texas in Fort Worth, Texas, she told me, ‘I'm going to start calling you hummingbird, because you look like a little hummingbird running around that stage,’

I feed off crowd energy. Like an energy exchange for me. If they give it to me, I return it. I basically leave it all onstage—good, horrible, and ugly.”
