When 'Yellowstone' closes, Luke Grimes believes 'nothing will ever be the same'

One "Yellowstone" star is having trouble letting go as the show's run winds down.

Luke Grimes admits that it will be hard to adjust after his time on the smash Western, which has had its own off-set controversy.

"We've been doing this since 2017," he told People. That's crazy. Our actors and crew are like family; we spend a lot of time together.

It was one of my most intense experiences. Among the most rewarding. Every aspect of my life has changed.

"This show will change everything, good and terrible. I will miss it greatly. I know. Yes, I want to know the ending. I'll conclude."

For five seasons, Grimes has played Kayce Dutton, John Dutton's son, in "Yellowstone."

The show ends after five seasons. Costner is unlikely to return for the second half of the show's last season.

The Hollywood writers' strike delayed filming new episodes, fueling rumors of a conflict between the actor and the production.

Costner extended the controversy in court against ex-wife Christine Baumgartner.

The actor seemed to object to the extra time needed to shoot "Yellowstone" while working on "Horizon," which will be released later this summer.
