Randy Travis I'm grateful for the "honor" of sharing a stage with Lainey Wilson.

Lainey Wilson stunned her audience on March 8 in Thackerville, Oklahoma, by inviting Randy Travis to join her on stage.

Wilson talked about how much Travis means to her while they were on the same stage.

Travis thanked her and posted a video of their conversation on social media earlier this week.

The caption on the post was brief but charming. "I was honored to accept Lainey Wilson's invitation to perform live!

The post said, "Thank you for the honor." Wilson introduced the country music icon in the video and discussed his significance to her and the genre.

Wilson leads a group of individuals that are attempting to revive the appeal of traditional country music.

The same thing happened to Travis about forty years ago.

When Storms of Life, his debut album, was released in 1986, he was an outsider in the world of mainstream country music.

Many of the major musicians at the period favored sleek production and incorporated pop elements into their songs.

The "Urban Cowboy" movement was gaining momentum at the same period.
