Anti-inflammatory Lemon-Blueberry Smoothie

This colorful, lemony smoothie has anti-inflammatory antioxidants from kale, hemp seeds, and green tea. 

 If baby kale is unavailable, baby spinach will work. Banana sweetness comes naturally. Add a little honey to sweeten.

Ingredient

1 cup frozen blueberries, plus garnish 1 peeled, frozen medium-ripe banana 1 cup baby kale packed Half cup unsweetened almond milk

Half cup chilled unsweetened green tea Two teaspoons hulled hemp seeds 3/4 teaspoon lemon zest, plus garnish 1.5 tbsp lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon honey (optional) 1/4tsp ground ginger

In a blender, combine the following ingredients: blueberries, banana, kale, almond milk, tea, hemp seeds, lemon zest, 

lemon juice, honey (if using), and ginger. Blend until smooth, which should take around 25 seconds depending on the blender. 

Add the liquid to a glass. In the event that you so wish, garnish with more blueberries and/or lemon zest.
