Anti-inflammatory Cherry Spinach Smoothie

This healthy smoothie is not only delicious--it also boosts your daily dose of anti-inflammatory foods. 


1 cup fresh spinach leaves 1/2 banana (optional, for sweetness) 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (or dairy-free alternative for a vegan version) 1 tablespoon chia seeds

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder (known for its anti-inflammatory properties) 1/2 teaspoon ginger (freshly grated or ground) 1 cup almond milk (or any other milk of your choice) Ice cubes (optional)


Add the frozen cherries, fresh spinach, banana (if using), Greek yogurt, chia seeds, turmeric powder, and ginger to a blender.

Pour in the almond milk. If you prefer a colder smoothie, you can add a handful of ice cubes.

Blend all the ingredients until smooth and creamy.

Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness or thickness by adding more banana, yogurt, or almond milk if needed.

Cherries are rich in antioxidants and have anti-inflammatory properties, while spinach adds vitamins and minerals. Turmeric and ginger also contribute to the anti-inflammatory benefits of this smoothie.
